What is the roof angle for the SolarPod^tm ?
The SolarPod^tm is designed for flat roofs. It can be installed at an angle no greater than 5%.

What is the SolarPod^tm made from??
The SolarPod^tm is made from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) plastic with Ultra violet protection additive.

What are the characteristics of HDPE Plastic & what are other applications?
HDPE is used in many household, automotive and industrial applications such as recycling and garbage containers, patio furniture, automotive bumper skins and covering and underground and overhead cable covering. The back sheet used in manufacturing the solar panels is a similar plastic used by Solar Power Products for the SolarPod™. HDPE is primarily used in outdoor applications due to its high strength rigidity & flexibility through a wide range of temperatures. When compared to other common plastics, HDPE has a higher tensile strength and will withstand higher temperatures.

How is SolarPod^tm manufactured?
The SolarPod^tm is manufactured using injection molding process in Ontario.

What is the warranty on SolarPod^tm and SolarRail^tm?

Does SolarPod^tm meet the requirements for the Ontario Fit Program?
Yes, the SolarPod^tm is manufactured in Ontario and qualify as Ontario Content.

How is the SolarPod^tm Ventilated?
Ventilation slots placed along the lower front wall and vents placed on both sides allow convection to occur. With little or no wind, convection cases air to flow through the mounting system. Test results on the SolarPod^tm performed at a panel manufacturing facility in California concluded that only 0.5% delta reduced was confirmed.

How is the SolarPod^tm Designed?
The mount is designed to incorporate a no slide bottom of the mount, to prevent lift off, overturning or sliding. The features of the mount include integrated wiring holes, ventilation, dimple bottom for maximum co-efficient of friction.
